Meet Joan Elliott

Joan Elliott has been creating needlework designs for more than 30 years. Trained in the fine arts, Joan’s love of color and texture found an easy home in the cross stitch world. Since 2001, Joan has worked on eight solo books of cross stitch designs for David and Charles, Ltd and she continues to publish designs and kits worldwide. In addition, she has just completed work on her first book for Krause titled Asian Inspired Machine Embroidery 

This is Joan’s first venture into quilting and it’s a perfect fit! She is delighted to be working with Woods and Quilts and thrilled to have the opportunity to bring her artwork to a new audience. 

Joan divides her time between Brooklyn, New York and Vermont where she indulges her passion for gardening and is forever inspired by the beauty of the nature that surrounds her. She and her husband feel blessed to have the opportunity to share the many joys and experiences that both city and country life have to offer.
